Oakenfall - Unreal Engine Environment

A game ready environment I made using Maya and Unreal Engine 5. This is a stylised piece I completed under the 3D modeling course at CG Spectrum. I was assisted during the creation of this piece with help from tutorials and tutor guidance.

My aim for this piece was to learn how to use a modular workflow to create a large environment. Firstly, the modules were all modelled in Maya, then they were taken into Substance Painter for low poly baking and texturing then finally rendered in Unreal Engine 5.

All the foliage seen is from Quixel Bridge.

Each module was put into UDIMs and I imported them individually into Unreal Engine 5. Then came the fun part! Creating the town and how the compact streets should look, making sure there was as little visible repetition as possible.

Wall Module 1 - UV Layout and Albedo Textures

To make the town feel alive I added a character that was modelled and textured by myself then animated using Mixamo.

References for both the town and the character.

I definitely enjoyed this project, I have learnt a lot and feel more confident in creating environments from start to finish. Thanks for stopping by!
