Thane Armello Model
A week long project where I modelled Thane from Armello.
Thane is one of my favorite characters in Armello and I wanted to model the character to practice organic shapes more.
This is the day by day progress I took to reach the final Renders.
Day 001
I modelled out Thane, putting together the basic shapes. I put on some light textures to get a general idea of what the colors would look like on the character.
Day 002
I modelled of the features of the character and began to come with a plan on what I wanted the final textures. I wanted to have the textures appear as a mixture of the two different styles the game is in. This is when I made the first of many proportional changes with the model.
Day 003
I started to texture the shirt when I decided to show the current progress to the public to get some feedback. I got some feedback that required me to adjust a bunch of the model.
Day 004
Minor Edit and Topology.
Day 005
Retopology of the main body which took a bit to get done as I haven't done alot of Retopology yet.
Day 006
Another model tweak and topology fixing day. Major changes were done to the eye textures.
Day 007
Uv unwrapping, texturing in Substance and playing around with the line art shader.

After Thought
I wish I could have done more with this project. It looks ok, but not great. But it something that will hopefully become better over time and when I learn more about modelling and texturing organics. Probably a project I would want to revisit in the future.
