Game Art - Hero Character + UE5 Porting Test
In this project, I first come up with concepts for 3 character designs Then, my goal is to create a game-ready character model with decent topology and textures. Lastly, I would port it into UE5 to test if it works.
PART 1: CONCEPT & SKETCH
Character 1 (default build) development: Japanese samurai/ronin/warrior.
Character 2 (slender build) initial design: Witch with poison abilities.
Character 2 (slender build) further exploration.
Character 3 (brute build) development: Sharkman, swings his anchor to fight off enemies.
All 3 characters.
PART 2: SCULPTING & 3D MODELLING
I decided to proceed with the brute sharkman character in 3D. I decided to switch up the art direction of the character, giving it a more realistic anatomy with reference.
Final 3D Model (Untextured).
