This project was for our advanced character design module for 2023, where we we had to create full design board with the character's full body font and back views, poses, expressions and an alternate outfit for them.
Project: Chroma Charm! It's a story about magic users who use tangible waves of colours to perform magic and fight evil, and they are known as Chromagicians. Each Chromagician chooses a symbol to represent them and their magic tangibly, and a main magical hue and an extra one to indicate what magic they perform. The 8 magical hues Chromagicians can choose are: Red (Protection), Orange (Summons), Yellow (Invocation), Green (Transformation), Cyan (Illusions), Blue (Divination), Violet (Charm), and Magenta (Animation).
This character sheet is of the main character. Rooni is a 13 year old kid who has a reputation of being the class clown and weirdo, and is one day sent to live with their cousin and Uncle/Aunt for a year at a new school due to their parents struggle to pay fees. Their cousin reveals that they are a Chromagician going by the name Scarlet Sparks, and takes Rooni under her wing. Rooni makes friends and enemies in a magical city and aims to learn chroma magic, and gain their own Chromagician name, Violet Star.
