This post details the character sheets of the 4 main characters and overview of my original campaign design project from 2022, All Wound Up!

All Wound Up! is my campaign pitch for a 2D platformer game, about a little wooden wind up doll called Amanita with a broken mechanical heart that needs repairs. Amanita has journeyed on a quest away from home to find someone who can fix their heart, with their older sister Lilium in tow, who has a broken upper torso. Amanita loves to dance, but slows down after a while due to their broken heart being connected to their wind up key. They have to wind themself up at tiny little wind up keys scattered around the toy world, hence why it's called All Wound Up. Along their journey, the siblings will meet the inventive and quirky Griffith the Griffin doll, and Ripper the Dragon plush, and it seems they might be broken enough to be a part of this broken family.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:


Amanita - bright eyed and curious with a love for dancing, this little doll wishes to explore and dance through the world, but struggles with slowed movement from their broken wind up heart, the most important part of a wind up doll. Amanita has always had a connection with nature and toy magic, but only now is starting explore it all with support from their sister and aid from wind up keys scattered around the Pin Prick Valleys.

Lilium - timid and protective, the big sister is alone in raising her young sibling. They both hail from the tiny Brasston Village. She still takes on their family name left by their creators, Marion, as Lilium retains the most of her marionette like tendencies. The elastics stringing her torso have grown weak, so she uses her magic strings to hold her up. Despite being so scared, she's a fierce and elegant fighter and protector.

Griffith - jumpy, energetic, a bit scatterbrained, this griffin is stuck a job in Faunhold that she feels restricted in with her interests in tinkering and building things. Griffith has a voice box with broken volume dials and poor sound quality. resulting in her having a scratchy voice. She has creaky joints that prevent her from using her wings. She wishes to have a little more in life, something to make sure feel fulfilled and less like an annoyance.

Ripper - loud, brash and reckless, you can't pass by the stops in the Yarn Gulfs unless you agree to engage combat with this rowdy teenage dragon plush. Ripper's name comes from the seam ripper he attached to his tail to make himself more "dangerous". The tough outer shell of his comes from two insecurities: being a soft and squishy plush toy, and from his many loose threads causing him to fall apart if undone. Because of this, he HATES being babied, but maybe he could make some friends anyways?
