Meet Robert, an original character commissioned by Andy Gahan for his upcoming book (title to be announced). I not only had the pleasure of creating the character but also contributed a chapter on the process of bringing this unique character to life.
Meet Robert, an original character commissioned by Andy Gahan for his upcoming book (title to be announced). I not only had the pleasure of creating the character but also contributed a chapter on the process of bringing this unique character to life.
It was an exciting journey, as this was my first time crafting such a stylized character. I'm thrilled with the final result.
Here are some technical details:
- The final polygon count for the character came to 12,694 triangles.
- The character was meticulously modelled in Blender, sculpted in ZBrush and textured in Substance Painter.
- The rendering was done in Blender using Cycles.
In addition, even though my rigging and animation skills are very basic, I tested out the model with a simple walking animation from Mixamo.
