Geppetto's Workshop || The Birth of Pinocchio

Here my last project! These renders showcase a scene inspired by the classic tale of Pinocchio. I modeled the scene and created the lighting in Maya, textured in Substance Painter and rendered in Arnold.

The image is set in Geppetto's workshop, featuring a wooden mannequin in a pose that evokes the process of Pinocchio's creation. I uploaded three distinct lighting setups: a darker one, signifies the magical moment under the Wishing Star's light preceding the Fairy's visit and the other two that represent Geppetto's active engagement in crafting Pinocchio (I couldn’t decide which lighting setup I like more at the end so I upload both of them).

For my scene I took inspiration mainly from the Disney live action of Pinocchio and Roberto F. Castro's discarded concepts of the same. I refined the post-production After Effects, which allowed for a polished composite that highlights the textures and lighting intended for each narrative moment. I hope you like it!
