Canada Winter Olympic Mascots Design

This was a project where I had to pick a country for either the winter or summer Olympics, and create a mascot for that country. I chose the winter Olympics in Canada. I tried to represent the country in my designs, taking inspiration from the culture and animals of Canada. I themed them around Totem Poles, with each character representing the 3 nations of Canada (The Inuits, the First Nations, and the Metis) and the non indigenous population. I looked at what the animals of the totem poles represent and tried to make sure I was as accurate as possible. I looked at fashion, architecture and arts of each nation and tried to include that in their design. I also made their designs more fluid shape wise as if they needed to be scaled down for a logo they would need to be recognisable.
