While learning Katana, I was surprised how painful Renderman shaders are for simple things like scaling a noise texture. Since Katana supports Open Shader Language, I wrote my own shaders to make life easier. I got carried away and wrote a raymarching engine in a shader. I used it to render all the fractals.
