This took a lot of time but I am finally somewhere close to satisfactory renders. I'm still trying to get the lighting even closer to the reference source in the amazing artwork of Daniil Rogachyov, but for now I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I modeled this scene based on the beautiful artwork of Daniil Rogachyov as a personal project. The goal was to try to translate his beautiful artwork to 3D.

I was responsible for all aspects of the pipeline, where I modeled the scene in Maya. The hardest part was to match the camera angle with my scene, but once I got that right, i felt pretty comfortable working through the rest of it.

Once I finished modeling, I finished texturing in Substance painter and Photoshop too for some specific cases such as the bottle labels and the frosted glass effect.

I originally wanted to render it in Arnold but unfortunately my PC couldn't handle it, which is why I switched to Blender for the lighting and rendering using the cycles render engine. Finally I brought my scene into Nuke to comp in a background and add some minor quality of life adjustments to make it look a bit more full of life. It was a great experience to learn how to light and manage such a busy scene and make it all come together like it did. I will keep pushing this as much as I can even in the future and try to make it look better.
