Weekly Drills #88 - Mechainsect

I used this weekly drill to practice modeling in Maya. I found a 2D concept by Guillaume Normand titled Mechinsect. The concept can be found here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/A9xBzW

The priority for the deadline was to have all components there, a lot of pieces are still intersecting block outs and simplified.  

To make camera matching easier for myself in Maya I identified the different materials and approximate middle line of the concept in Krita.
