Wukong - Monkey King

First project realized during the master in CG at Skyup Academy.

Wukong protagonist of the novel Journey to the West.

The model was made in Zbrush, finalized in Maya 2024 using V-ray and later finished in post-production with Photoshop.

Final renderings of the project made with V-ray on Maya 2024, using as material the gray clay chosen to bring out the details of the character

Reference used during the project

Studying the shapes and proportions of the character, I started the formation of the character from human forms, eventually hybridizing them with the anatomy of monkeys to arrive at a final anatomy

Here I started by blocking the hands and then finalize 

continuing with the study of the pose of the character

Here I started to define the details of the face and hair with a specific study of the hair
