Kinukaze, an artistic concept born at Skyup Academy, pushed my creative boundaries. Sculpted using ZBrush, brought to life in Maya with V-Ray, and perfected through post-production in Photoshop. My skills were truly put to the test.

Round of applause for our sponsors

My initial role at Skyup Academy was working on the maquette module in Zbrush, and the project I tackled was called "Kinukaze." Presented above are the finished renderings, while below, I will outline the sequential stages of the process that led to the ultimate outcome. Given this reference image (a concept of Emily Young Chapman alias Emilymeganx) for the inspiration and basis for the final design, let's start the process.

I started studying elements using the "Big, Medium, Small" concept and considering the body sizes, then, I brainstormed and compiled a table featuring valuable images for the project.

After completing my study, I proceeded to start the initial blocking phase.

Following that, I continued to delve into the details, specifically focusing my studies on the intricate world of ninja clothes and equipment.

The primary challenge in this project was the transformation from the A-pose to the final dynamic stance. Due to the intricate nature of the dynamic movements, employing gizmos posed significant challenges. To surmount this obstacle, I merged numerous subtools into one and accomplished the task using Transpose Master.

After testing various materials, I ultimately settled on the black and gold one, as it exuded a sense of preciousness and added significance to the intricate details. Furthermore, the application of depth of field and specific lens effects enhanced its overall allure.

In conclusion, I'd like to express my gratitude for your attention throughout this project. And now, once more, here is Kinukaze.

Thank you.
