Creature creation 02

This was a personal project I have worked on over a scattered timeframe, within 2019 to 2021. It was a project where I had multiple iterations in zbrush with my design. I also experimented with displacement maps, and various ways of rigging.  

I used alot of different references, where my main inspiration was from the creature from the Avatar movie, called the great leonopteryx. I also looked at eagles and reptiles and theropod dinosaur anatomy and skeletons. 

Next I did retopology, mainly by manual work and UV mapping and texturing.
