Lost Love

In the 1920s in Birmingham, England, the twin sisters Ella and Nora were born orphans and not knowing who their parents were. All they remember is that they died in a car accident, leaving one of them emotionally scarred, and the other standing next to her for comfort. Living in the streets, Ella and Nora were scrounging up food to survive until an officer spotted them. As the chase began, a man in the black coat watched them running and got curious by following their trail to investigate. The twins were trapped in the alleyway while the officer slowly walked towards them and arrested them for theft. But the man in the black hood appeared and grabbed the officer’s hand, then bribed him with money to go away. The twins looked up at him and thanked him for saving them. Fate reveals that the man introduced himself as Alister and offered his hand to them as a sign of becoming adopted and changing their lives forever. 

Ella Graves was once a cute girl who wanted to live her life free from any problems she encountered. Free from deception, abuse, judgement, and loneliness. But most importantly, she wanted to find something valuable, something that can keep Graves happy for a long time and become lonely no more. Love is the key to her happiness. But she must prepare herself to commit to a confidant to make special bonds if she were to achieve that goal. Shall Graves not succeed would lead her to the life of her broken world, losing the ability to love anyone or anything she holds dear.

Nora Graves is the oldest twin sister of Ella whom she once looked after back when they were living in the streets of Birmingham after their parents died in a car accident. Whenever she gets out of their hideout trying to salvage some food from the marketplace, aristocrats looked at her disgusted and stood away from her filth. Nora hated everyone who would judge her appearance and got sick and tired of herself looking dirty overall. One day, they were adopted by a mysterious man named Alister Graves who enrols both of them on his school called Dark Academia. Two years later, she became the queen of the school by having pride and popularity on her side. Her motif is to be the most beautiful girl in the school despite how ugly she looks without her makeup.

A poetic student named Hozan is the ace of Dark Academia. He has excellent results in his exams, writes poetry in the library during his study period and is kind-hearted. But the one ingredient that is missing to write his ultimate poem is love. Hozan tries to attract girls by reciting his poems to them, but then he got rejected multiple times. Many reasons why most of the girls reject him are either because they already have partners or were just too busy working on their assignments. Whenever Hozan has feelings within him, he always writes his poems as a way to relieve him rather than bottling up his emotions. He is still determined to find love from someone to feel connected before he writes his best poem ever made.

Alister Graves is the adoptive father of both Ella and Nora as well as the head of his school Dark Academia. Having been raised by his abusive aristocratic parents who would not have wanted him as their child because of his fragility. His father deliberately took his right eye out as punishment. On one tragic night, Alister’s mother vanished as gangsters smashed into the Graves manor to collect money owed to his father. Rather than returning the money to them, his father was murdered with guns blazing over him. He inherits all of his father’s wealth after enduring torture for 10 years and takes over his manor. In order to surpass himself, he must build a school that tests children’s mentality, overcomes trauma and shapes their destinies while under watch by his pet Jasper as his second eye. The traumatic past of the principal caused him to hide his face from the students, making him the cold-hearted principal of Dark Academia.

When Dark Academia is built, Alister sets some ground rules to ensure that his students get a better education than any other schools in England or else they suffer the consequences he suffered back then. The first rule is that students may not cheat on their final exams under Jasper’s watch. The second rule is that any violent events that occurred on school grounds will be sent to the headmaster’s office to decide their fates. Finally, if the students do not support each other for selfish reasons, they will stay in the chamber of solitude for two days doing nothing but studying. Alister built his school to see which students could surpass himself and overcome the trauma he suffered in the past.
