Update - 1 Aug 2023

This is the final result that I handed in for my project assignment.

the rig of the robot chest was wrong and flying around in some places but with the knowledge I now have I will be able to fix this,

also, the timing of the forklift placing the pallet on the shelf is entirely too fast

I would like to add more assets to the scene like boxes more crates maybe a wharf and ships with ship containers, I will see how it goes

This was my first-ever project at Media Design School NZ.

I thought it was the most amazing thing I had created and now after learning pre-production and camera movements, I understand why my teachers were not impressed hahaha

The camera movements are crazy and the shots are made all from one camera... I am excited to open the project and try to improve it by adding more assets and other camera shots

this was the model that I made of a reference called Robbie the Robot, Robby was the brainchild of, and designed by industrial designer, Japanese-American engineer Robert Kinoshita. so credits to him

i made put a porcelan arnold standard shader preset on him and made his helmet visor a glass shader and game him a cute face

I rigged him with the basic rigging knowledge that Kelly had taught us and made his arms body legs move and bend and i added wheels on his feet to look as though he was wheeling forward so that i didn't have to rig and animate each individual leg for walking

I used the shanghai Bund Hdri from poly haven in the skydome to liven things up without the need to create buildings with my limited knowlege at the time

These are some of the rendered photos a lot of flickering the render settings need adjusting but Robbie looks so adorable that it just makes me laugh

this was day three of my first ever time modelling something of substance had no idea what i was doing but powered on blindly, makes me laugh remembering
