The Heart Maker

Concept 

When I first saw this concept, I had an image of a “Nordic atmosphere” and “art nouveau streamline design”. Collect references based on these keywords.

Modeling

In order to make it look like a workshop that has been used for a long time, the furniture has been modeled and textured with scratches from many years of use. I used Photoshop for texturing the books and photos.  

Lighting and Compositing

I added a lot of kicker lights and bounce lights to make the lights look more spread out. Added fog to key lights pointing out windows. When compositing, I output the Cryptomatte, a beauty pass for each type of light, so that fine adjustments can be made easily. Adding blur and noise to the fog gave it an organic finish.
