Continuing with the Latin American inspiration, I decided to create an Alebrije, an imaginary being that is painted with mostly cheerful and vibrant colors.

Brought to life, the Alebrije
Being part of traditional Mexican art, it is believed that giving an Alebrije as a gift helps to "scare away" evil spirits from homes. They are also considered to be a symbol of good luck. So hopefully this one is going to give me some luck.
Modeled in Maya and Zbrush, textured in Substance painter and illustrator.
