Lover of the latest God of War, Freya is an important character in the last two games. She is a very charismatic woman with a good development that I particularly like.

Ragnarök introduces a new feature allowing us to equip Freya with different outfits, leaving me a wide choice for my fan art.

References

Instead of producing a complete outfit I had the idea of mixing two outfits present in the game that could go well together.

Full Process

I rigged and skinned Freya in order to bring her to life.

During certain attacks and scenes Freya possesses magic wings, they increase its majesty and presence.

I decided to make them.

Breakthough

I will show you my production steps, as well as some close ups.

The engravings that intertwine were the biggest challenge of this character.

To succed in being as close as possible to the In-Game rendering I isolated each engraving with a color code on my reference. I use Maya to place each of them with the Quad Draw magnetized to the shoulder pad, and finally return to ZBrush to give volume and intertwine everything.

I found this method very effective.

Freya's textures were very instructive. To try to tend towards the aspect of the original model I had to review my way of texturing to push the quality.
