Counting Sheep - Compositing

I was lead compositor on the graduate film, Counting Sheep. Below are a few of my shots that I composited in the film. Animation in these respective shots were done by: Sian Durler, Isabella Elario and Jayden Welch. Lighting in these respective shots were done by: Noah Ferris, Michaela-Lee Claassen and Ivan Nelson. VFX in these respective shots were done by: Isabella Bosmos, Dylan Greenwood, Isabella Elario, Ivan Nelson, Sian Durler and Jayden Welch.

Compositing for the film was a great feat yet a rewarding experience. It was all about tying in the vibrant colours and keeping the stylized look of the film alive. There are many shots of stylized 2D VFX such as the fire and lightning that had to be well integrated into the shots seamlessly, while having its own stylistic flare. The team of compositors and myself made sure to maintain consistency and maintain the compositing effects done similarly in Arcane, while having our own identity in our film. The 2D VFX were done in After Effects through Trapcode Particular and the compositing was done in Nuke.
