Design, 3d modeling and animation of cyborg character
Process of creating a character for my video game. From initial sketches, color proofs and 2d design to modeling, rigging and animation.
Character creation process for my video game.
It is inspired by a cyberpunk aesthetic, Ghost in the Shell or Blade Runner style.
To do this, first make some sketches and color tests, then a drawing to illustrate the concept a bit. Once this was done, I went through the 3d modeling, the concept of the character is that it has parts that work with mechanical mechanisms and other parts that are more organic, so I had to think about what the mechanism that would move the legs would be like, among other things.
Once I had the 3d model I went on to do the uv and texturing with substance painter for the first time. Once done, I went on to do the rigging, I would say that this part was the most complicated due to the mechanical parts, since at first I was not very sure how I was going to do them.
Finally I put the controllers and perform a walk cycle to test the operation.
