Character 2 –  Dark

Description: Dark is a teenage girl (17) who can see ghosts/spirits/demons. Her twin sister (Dia) who got killed by a murderer, cursed Dark before she died because of her jealously. Their parents always loved Dark more and treated Dia as if she didn’t exist. Feeling anger and loneliness through her whole life, she goes to a shaman famously known for dark curses and asks her to curse her sister. The curse was for Dark to see Dia even though she is dead and to control her, so at the age of 15, she starts seeing things. It terrified her so she wasn’t able to sleep well and traumatized her so that she wasn’t able to socialize. Her parents get worried and calls a special exorcist but he isn’t able to purify her but instead, asks her to join a special school that can help her learn to control the things around her. She learns how to use dark magic and summoning spells. Students in the same school as her often misunderstands that she is a very dark looking person who wants to be alone, but once you get to know her she is talkative and likes to share her interests. She carries a small bag around her thighs with lots of special yellow paper with a brush that has black ink that never dries up inside. This is her special weapon she uses to write things on it and that allows Dark to summon things or cast attacks or defense on her or other people. Dark also has thousands of butterflies she can control/summon and those butterflies act as her eyes (gives her information) and also can attack, biting and causing infection on skin. Dark is also able to seal evil ghosts/spirits/demons in her shadow so they can’t escape. 

This was the first idea of what I wanted her to look like but i realised that it needs to be clear on what this character is going to be (concept) and how it is going to look is very important. So I changed my design completely, taking the other twin out to look nothing like a actual human, more of a ghost wondering around Dark. 

Dark's concept and looks are inspired and influenced by a butterfly called "Diaethria", which has 2 different looks to it.

I have used this butterfly's colour for her clothes and as it looks like 2 different butterflies, i have created Dark and Dia differently (Dark as human and Dia as a spirit Dark uses to fight other demons/spirits/ghosts).
