Placing Picasso is a puzzle game aimed at all audiences, taking place in an art gallery, with each level focusing on a painting to be restored. Placing Picasso's was created as a group project. My role within this group was to create all art elements for the game.

Placing Picasso’s is a puzzle game aimed at all audiences, taking place in an art gallery, with each level focusing on a painting to be restored. The game primarily focuses on restoring of cubist styles pictures. Within this game audiences will work with the protagonist to re-build the paintings. This will be achieved through completing each layer of the puzzle and placing the shape in the right order until  the portrait is fully completed. Whilst the audience is completing the level the protagonist will provide feedback in relation to were they have placed the piece.

I created this project as a university assessment with a group of two other students. My role was lead artist within this project.

Below visually showcases my process of creating art assets for the first level of the game.

Below is a collection of further art assets I created. Such as the main protagonist, frames and additional levels art.  Creating these assets, I wanted to make sure that I created a style that was unique for the game which also showed clear stylistic features found within cubist works of art. I was able to achieve this from creating my own texture brushes within photoshop whilst also using illustrator to map out the each of the shapes to insure there was clear edges for each piece.
