Octo
This work was done as part of an assignment at Pixl Visn. Octo is part of a larger 2d concept. This assignment has been very interesting to study new styles of 3d modeling and texturing. No Ai was used for this project.
Octo
The original octo project is based on the MZM concept. It's called Insane Pirates. I really liked the project because of the detail of the figure itself. There was a point where I decided to separate the octopus from the pirate so I could focus on the creature.
The most interesting thing about this project is having worked with Substance and mari for the textures. For both the pirate and the octopus, it has been a process where I have been able to see that mari and substance go hand in hand.
It is very satisfying to paint in Mari, it has allowed me to work accurately on the textures of the octopus and the ship's rudder.
The grand finale was working on vray and giving it the final touch in nuke.
