Black Forrest Doll Maria

A character sculpt I made in 2021. Her main design is based on a traditional black forrest hat with red pompoms.

Maria the creepy doll is clearly not creepy. She is a very kind creature that is around for such a long time that her porcelain parts slowly began to break off. Luckily, when Maria was on her way to make new friends in the forest she found various parts that she could integrate into her body, which sadly made her look more frightening to others... but she is really kind, I promise!

My idea was to create some bizar looking doll that reminds of porcelain cups and black forrest hats.

The concept I created myself. I was inspired by traditional german black forrest hats and porcelain tea sets. I wanted to further give some twist to german traditions based on porcelain doll aesthetics. 

I learned a lot about sculpting in Zbrush the past year so I am very excited to redo her hair and give her some more details soon and of course texture!
