A story that follows a young boy named Lucas who was born without sight and learns how to see the world through a different way

During this project, I was tasked with two roles; the first being the concept artist and character designer, visualising the characters and their personalities. Below are the first, experimental sketches I created for these three characters, the Teacher, Lucas and the Bully.

After receiving approval, I created the official character sheets for these three individuals. Below are the turnaround (of only Lucas due to time constraints), expression and attitude sheets in order from Lucas, the Bully and the Teacher.

My second role in this project was to be the animator, in particular, the keyframe artist. I focused on laying down the important points in the shots and passed it onto the next animator who was to do the in-betweens and clean up.

However, with time constraints, the team decided to expand our roles and each individual either took on the role of creating the in-betweens, cleaning up the incomplete lines or colouring the animation in accordance. On occasion, all of them at once. I have taken two of these roles after completing the keyframes, as shown below.

I focused on lining the in-betweens that were taken upon by the Director, and colouring the animation after the lines have been completed.

Note: In Shot 2, 17 and 18, the backgrounds and in-between animation is credited to the Director while Shot 15, the in-betweens are credited to another fellow animator and was briefly taken on by the Producer (but I had to replace their place as circumstances didn't allow them to work on it no more).
