Popcorn Wagon

This late 1920's popcorn wagon is a hero prop to be used in the 1930's Carnival scene I am working on as a personal project. The scene will be based on/is heavily inspired by Guillermo del Toro's Nightmare Alley (production design by Tamara Deverell) , this popcorn wagon is based on one of the props used in the movie and a similar one I found on an online auction website.

This is the first time I've tried to make the whole prop as efficient as possible, making an as clean as possible lowpoly, while still keeping in mind the shapes and silhouette. The goal was to keep the entire thing under 20k tris and I ended up with 19.1k. I am sure next time I could do better polycount-wise but overall I'm very happy with the result.

In the future I will add popcorn but I am still working on how to accomplish that while keeping it game-efficient. The biggest challenge here was the texturing, as I wanted the wagon used but not too heavily damaged.

This prop was modeled in Maya, textured in Painter and rendered in Marmoset.
