RAPTORS
This entry was an attempt to create a short but cinematic animation that somehow looked like the opening shot of a full-fledged movie. Even though the final result is a 15-second clip, I'm quite happy with the results.
Project: Raptors
This entry was an attempt to create a short but cinematic animation that somehow looked like the opening shot of a full-fledged movie. Even though the final result is a 15-second clip, I'm quite happy with the results. Here are some behind-the-scenes images alongside the results. I hope you like what you see.
Creating the main asset:
The raptor was sculpted and retopologized within Blender. Due to my hardware limitations, I couldn't go as far as sculpting in all the scales, So I opted out to add all the details in the texturing stage.
Texturing:
A close-up of the face, preview rendered in I ray. All of the scales and skin details are added in Substance Painter. I couldn't work with a 4k texture set so I chose a 2k resolution for all my texture sets.

Scene Setup:
The scene was created using quixel megascans assets for the most part, and some of my own photoscans for a small portion of the foreground.
Thank you so much for visiting this project. Feel free to take a look at some of my other projects.
