An apple a day... - Overlap Animation Exercise
I'd love to share this animation with you all. I am very passionate about improving as an animator and I absolutely loved making this shot to practice some important animation concepts: overlapping action, follow through, squash and stretch. I tried to breathe some life into this sweet little squirrel as well. Cheers!
Hi everyone!
I'd love to share this animation with you all. I am very passionate about improving as an animator and I absolutely loved making this shot to practice some important animation concepts: overlapping action, follow through, squash and stretch. I really tried to breathe some life into this sweet little squirrel character. I call this piece 'an apple a day'. The true challenge was animating the tail, making sure the tip doesn't go out of arc and follows the motion of the base of the tail successively. The same principle applies to hair or a cape. Also timing it right and making it feel like a thinking character was fun and quite challenging.
I'd love to know what you all think. If you are interested in any of my other works be sure to contact me or follow me on my other socials:
