Identity Theft
I created this piece for Christophe Desse's Texturing II class at Gnomon in about 9 weeks. It was definitely a challenge for me! I decided from the beginning that I wanted to create my own concept rather than work from an existing one. It's always nice to exercise those storytelling muscles!
I created this piece for Christophe Desse's Texturing II class at Gnomon in about 9 weeks. It was definitely a challenge for me! I decided from the beginning that I wanted to create my own concept rather than work from an existing one. It's always nice to exercise those storytelling muscles!
For the modeling I used Zbrush (For the head), Marvelous Designer (for the cloth on the wires), and Maya for everything else. Textures were done exclusively in Substance Painter.
For rendering I used V-Ray Next. To me, the way the engine handled volumetrics and light falloff was well worth the slightly slower render times.
Animation: This is the first time I've rendered out a sequence like this! I learned a lot about optimizing V-Ray settings to make the render more efficient.
The composite was done in NukeX.
Enjoy!
