Old Stone Message Mural

I did this assignment for ART 218 at Miami University in Oxford. This week, our goal was to just make a modular asset, or more specifically any asset we wanted that we feel would fit with everything else we've made. Since most of my objects are going to be roughly carved stone, I decided to model a sort of message mural, with inscriptions of some unknown language. Overall, I think the modeling and UV sorting went well. Texturing in Substance Painter also went fairly smoothly, and while I did run into a brief problem figuring out how to "inscribe" alphas into the stone, I quickly realized I was just misremembering how to do it and fixed my mistake. In the future, I might make more texture variations of this with different inscriptions.
