I modeled this wooden bridge in Maya. First, I created a rectangle and bent it. I extruded three faces to create the support beams. I also extruded the faces on the sides of the support beams. Then, I created and bent a rectangle for the railing. I duplicated it and placed them on either side. Then, I duplicated the finished half of the bridge, rotated it, and placed it on the other side. I bridged the faces on the sides of the support beam to connect the halves. Then, I created the center plank. I duplicated, resized, and arranged them accordingly. I applied different materials to the planks, railings, and support beams/base to make sure the texturing would be efficient. I had a bit of trouble getting the UVs right, but eventually I got them the way I wanted them. Then, I combined the models and brought it into Substance Painter. I textured all the parts in pretty much the same way. I added a wood material and a rain effect. For the planks, I added a dirt effect, and for the base, I added some slight green with a moss brush onto the parts that will touch the ground. I think this model will fit in well with my peaceful level design. I'm hoping to add running water under it.
