I recreated a friends skateboard for this weekly drill. I used Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop and Marmoset Toolbag.

Texture Maps

Reference Images

I wanted to duplicate the exact scratches from the board so I brought the reference images into Photoshop and created alpha masks. I changed the shoe print because the one I created from the pictures looked like he was skateboarding barefoot, which became a bit confusing when I showed people for feedback.

Normal Stamp

I created a normal stamp for the screws in the middle of the board. I've never done it before but it's super simple.

Image #1: Maya Model

Image #2: First attempt. I didn't have enough depth in my model so the stamp was unusable

Image #3: Added more depth, which created a much better stamp for Substance Painter
