Ienema Mothership
A concept piece for a sci-fi mothership. I wanted to create a massive ship with simple and memorable forms but tons of surface details to look at. I started with a basic concept for what the general shape of it would look like without any detail, and then I created and added all the pieces as I built it in 3D.

Basic concept for primary forms. My starting idea for the ship had a lot of ellipses and repeated shapes, so I concepted iterations in 3D instead of 2D. Once I had one that I liked I drew some more detail on top of it.
