Final exercice of the first year in vfx and 3D Animation at ESMA, Toulouse.

Grocery project.

Objective : Choose an intention of a grocery from the 30's to today, in France.

My intention : In Normandie, a man owns a small grocery nearby the sea, while France is occupied by the nazis. At the back of his establishment you can find a secret door which leads to a private underground. This room is used as a storage room and also as a hiding place for resistants. They print illegal papers and stay hidden as many time as they wish.

Un épicier normand tient une petite épicerie en bord de mer dans une France occupée par l’Allemagne nazi. Au fond de son établissement se trouve une porte cachée qui mène à un sous-sol. Cette petite pièce sous-terraine fait à la fois office de réserve et de cachette pour des résistants. Ces derniers ont aménagé un coin de la pièce en imprimerie de fortune afin de tenir la population informée et contrer la censure du régime de Vichy. Le sous-sol est aussi aménagé de telle sorte que les résistants puissent se reposer et se cacher aussi longtemps qu’ils le désirent.
