The initial idea is derived from the mission of wework — providing a workspace, a community and services for a global network of creators. wework provides a workspace with the goal of encouraging connection through the members, forming a community where work and life intersect. Moreover, wework offers a variety of services.

The concept is inspired by a combination of 3 keywords — connection, intersection and boldness. The workplace not only serves as a private working area but also doubles as a coworking space. Utilising the elements of intersection and connection as an integral part of the structure, the leveled floor plates create a setting for a range of activities to take place at different scales. The bold geometric tree structure symbolises the strong bond between wework and members. A range of materials and textures are also applied for enhancing the mood of nature to create visual interest.

Associated with the concept of working within trees, the spacious interior comprises various levels of floor plates which satisfy wework’s desire to work freely within the workplace. To hear one’s voice from across and above, hopping over to another branch, discussions take place across by members from separate branches. These are some moments of richness encountered through such spatially dense living. The working atmosphere shows itself to be open and communicative, suggesting collaboration in a transparent working environment - the rooms of Wework possess the same feeling of comfort found at home.
