after graduating high school and starting to look into careers. Everything about modeling and creating unreal worlds intrigues me

Even though I have always been passionate about art, I never considered pursuing it as a career because its hard to get nonrecognition and live a comfortable life in the creative mediums. That was until junior year of high school and took a animation class on a whim. There was something about it that captivated me and although I know making a career out of this field is a up hill battle I don't think I could be happy doing anything else.

I think I have always had an eye for art and people always liked what I make when I first started doodling with Photoshop. I want to have a career in motion graphics and animation, and just recently I took an interest in 3D modeling/animation.

I've been in the oil & gas industry for 25 years. Last year I was asked if I could do a 3D rendition of a solar parking lot for one of the universities in Texas for which we were bidding a project. Having never done anything with 3D software before, I downloaded SketchUp and taught myself enough to create a somewhat decent, final product. It was then that I realized how much I enjoyed that task and wanted to learn more and do more.

I wanted to provide for those who needed an escape from their stressful situations.
