A combination of things made me consider going into creative media, such as reading books like Creativity Inc, collaboratively developing a game with a college club, and enjoying 3d rendering software.

I first realized I wanted to work in the industry when I was in elementary school. I was playing a game when I asked my mom "if I work to make games that means I could play them too?" and since then my interest in making games and the creative media industry continued to grow.

I grew up in a family of artists so for a while I avoided art to stand out more, but recently some introductory classes in modeling reminded me to go back to my roots and enjoy art as well. One of the graphic design classes was particularly fun and I enjoyed grinding out work, I did not know I could enjoy doing work to that degree, and I want to discover if this is a real passion of mine.

There came a time in my life when I had to decide between pursuing a more technical career or a more creative one. If I had to choose one thing to dedicate my life to learn and master, I would choose art.

When I started making games in my high school

I realized while picking my major that I wanted to pursue a career that I was passionate about. My favorite hobby was video games, whether it was designing them or playing them, video games had always left an impact on my life.

At second year in my university after I switched my major from computer science to playable media.

Early middle school, but creative media was never a real career option in my mind until my junior year of college.

My access to technology was limited throughout my childhood, but would always play games wherever and whenever I could. Otherwise, I was climbing trees and drawing on walls. Now in my young adult years, I have been pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science at the University California, Santa Cruz, and I have been missing the creative and artistic side of my childhood. Fortunately for me, I discovered that there is a field that brilliantly fuses both of my passions: technical art.

During my undergraduate study of cultural industry management.
