Round of applause for our sponsors

One of the main events that pushed me to pursue art was when I watched the special features on my Sprit: Stallion of the Cimarron DVD as a child and when I saw all of the animators working together to piece together that movie. I was utterly captivated by the whole process and I decided that my goal would be to one day be a part of a similar team of talented artists., bringing immersive stories to life.

Since i was a child as a learner, I try to visualize things from a different perspective. I love exploring ideas & try to create solutions. I observe the stuff and try to dig deeper to find out how they are connected to each other.

I've been interested in the arts since a very small age. I attended the School of Applied Arts in my hometown where I studies Graphic Design and later on got accepted into the Duncan Jordanstone College of Art and Design where I currently study Animation.

Since I was little I was always drawing characters and I was fascinated by the classic Disney films. Since then I've always wanted to get a job that's related to animation. After spending four years at DJCAD studying in the Animation course - I have a clearer idea of what I want to do in the industry- Character Design and 3D Modelling.

Nobody really told me that the creative industries were a career path. I had an idea, because I always loved watching behind the scenes videos of Pirates of the Caribbean or Lord of the Rings, and I was a big video game nerd, but at school nobody talked about industry. You simply "went to art school", which I did. Only then did I discover the Animation course at DJCAD. You mean to tell me that all the things I love... I can do as a job one day? SOLD!
