When I was able to express my thoughts and personal creativity towards a specific target audience. The more I learn about all sorts of techniques to create the best possible visual, the more I couldn't achieve it. It takes time and effort to craft my own masterpiece. Therefore I am aware that when entering into the industry, people may not recognise my own style of creativity and some will. This trial and error process always intrigues me to challenge myself to greater heights.

just before graduating high school

I started off as a writer and general dreamer when I was around 5 years old but realised I wanted to be in special effects when I found out that Adam Jones of the band Tool created his own artistic music videos. I have studied the ‘behind the scenes’ of movies my whole life and find it to be the perfect blend of inspirational creativity and hands on work that supports inspiring outcomes. Mythbusters certainly helped along the way too.

When I was still in primary school, I had a strong passion for art and loved drawing. So, when it came time to apply for college, it was only natural for me to apply for a major in animation.

I was born in Cairns and lived in regional areas for most of my life until I moved to Brisbane to attend university in 2018. When I was a child I wanted to become a movie director, and started making animations in primary school. That is, until I received my first console, the PlayStation 2. I have wanted to make games my career ever since. I started making games in high school and have now been in the gaming industry as a freelancer for four years.

Hello, my name is Michael Shin. I'm a menswear fashion designer and the founder of the brand K2JULY. Being born and raised in Australia, while having Korean descent, my cultural identity has been a complicated obstacle from a young age. The name K2JULY breaks down to "From Korea to July," symbolizing how my brand incorporates its Korean background and aesthetic styling into any location.

With in my first 6 months of my degree at QUT. I had previously worked in a different industry and I realised it wasn't my passion anymore so I decided to study animation at QUT. After starting to learn new skills and gaining some knowledge of the industry and the possibilities the were available I really started to enjoy myself. I realised that I really wanted to give this a shot and see where it takes me.

I first found out that I wanted to work in the industry when I was in the 2nd year of uni, despite being new, I saw that I was capeable of doing animations that looked alright from the early stages so that confidence is what drives me to do better as it is something that I like doing.

I have always loved art and film, however my high school didn't have a great system to support these fields of study. I was really interested in art and specifically the technical side of it and decided to take the leap and started studying animation after spending a few years in the workforce. I instantly grew a love for anything 3D and as I progressed in my studies I became really interested in virtual production within Unreal Engine.

I've always been interested in creative media, imagining up stories and characters constantly. I love stories and want to share my own through whatever medium I can.

For a long time I have had an interest in animation ever since I watched the stick man fight animations that were prevalent on youtube in the early 2000's. Delving deeper into this creative field I discovered a multitude of exciting passions in the world of 3D. From Animating to modelling, sculpting, texturing, lighting and it all I find a great deal of enjoyment to bringing my imagination to a tangible virtual representation.

I have a passion for writing stories and coming up with characters. I also noticed that the ideas I had were well received when I was willing to show them to others. I have confidence in my ideas and think that I can put forth unique stories into the world that I hope people will love.

I was a huge Maths and Science nerd during most of highschool, but the workload always left me burnt out and unfulfilled. Which is roughly when I discovered filmmaking - and by extension - 3D software like blender. I've been hooked ever since.

My passion for games is what first lead me into the world of 3D. I did a small course where I fell in love with creating even simple 3D models. My fast learning and passion for this work let me instantly know I wanted to do this for a living.

Not sure but I always loved the idea of making and showing my ideas to start with.

I always liked 3D visualisation inside the games and films so I was looking for a job related to them and that is when I started to study 3D modelling.

I have always been a creator! When i would play with my toys as a kid id build, using Lego, Imaginext or Macarno, worlds to immerse myself in, never following the instructions. When playing video games I'd spend more time in their world, Level or character editors rather then the actual games. And then when i got my first PC, Id use Power Point to make games. MS Paint and Movie maker to Animate and things just evolved from there. Creating, there's nothing else id rather be doing it's, Who I Am.

Before I decided to restart my career in the creative industry, I was working in the bank of China as a mortgage manager for almost 2 years. I was always very interested in drawing and writing and I wrote some novels as hobbies. Someday, an editor came to me and asked me if I want to do some graphic novel with an animation studio. I'm so excited and during the progress, I realized that this is something I truly want to do, and I want to be the one to make it happen.
