Round of applause for our sponsors

For many years I have loved playing video games. I therefore decided that I wanted to go into the industry to make games as a dream job, so that I would be making what I enjoy doing.

I realized i wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry when i experienced game development during my high school computer science course.

I first realised I wanted to work in the industry when I figured that I wished to know what went on 'behind the scenes' in the Games Industry, I find every aspect of the process in making a game incredibly interesting and that interest fuels my passion.

When I realised how capable video games create a unique experience, connecting with their audience through emotion in ways that other mediums can’t do.

I was always interested in the creative subjects particularly art, when I found the games design course at Priestley College I knew what I wanted to do and grew a passion for games design throughout my time there. Now I primarily concentrate on concept art and 3D modelling.

When I first started high school.

Towards the end of high school, always loved programming in my computing sessions

As soon as I laid eyes on video games I couldn't get enough of it so I decided that if I enjoy playing games, then making them should be as fun as playing them. I think my first console I played on was the Playstation 2 or Nintendo DS and that started me off the route of being inspired.

I have played both computer games and board games since I was very young. I fondly remember playing LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, and being fascinated about the various levels, character skill sets and the unique way of presenting a story. As I have matured, a love for strategy has emerged through games such as the Europa Universals series and the Civilization series. These games inspired me to get involved with the games design industry, and study it at college.

I developed an interest in how video games were created and decided to pursue that interest further as I found that many subjects I studied in school were not as appealing.

Probably from when I was around 12 years old as I was fascinated by game development and became more fascinated as I got older. When I was around 15 I decided I wanted to get involved with game development and I love doing it.

I realised when i first took the course at priestley college, they offered a games design course and for most of my life i had enjoyede playing games so i decided to give it a go designing and creating them.

I first became interested in the games design industry studding computer sciences at high school in year 10.

When I have started college doing film studies for two years, Production Arts for one year and Game Design for two years.

Around Year 9 where I had to pick which subjects I needed to do. So I thought about something I enjoy and can do.

Since I began my studies at Priestley College. Before hand it was just a hobby but not I want to pursue my passion.

I realized I wanted to work with creative media when I started to experiment with coding and modelling in high school which has continued into college in my games design course.
