Round of applause for our sponsors

I wanted to become apart of the entertainment industry when I started college. When I was younger I always adored animation, but what I liked most were the stories told and the worlds they built. I love the idea of building up a visual area for a story to play out in. The visuals are what draw me in and the story is what makes me want to stay. Visual storytelling has a unique ability to connect, share, and relate with others in way I've always admired and would love to contribute to one day.

When I realized making people laugh may be the reason for existence.

I grew up playing video games with my older brother, and being transported to that world was the most important thing to me.

When I went to see How To Train Your Dragon for the first time in theatres when I was 12; I remember watching the scene where Hiccup and Toothless first became friends and I was in awe at how an animated movie could capture real, tangible emotions. I couldn't fathom how the animators were able to make the audience feel what it could be like to fly with a dragon, but I remember thinking it would be so cool to create something like that.

When I was a junior in high school I took a short 2D animation class that kind of open me up to more possibilities. I went on to take more difficult art classes and eventually applied to PCA&D. There I was introduced to 3D modeling and I never really looked back. Modeling became my main focus for projects and that is what I will continue to pursue.

From a young age, I was always interested in the arts mainly due to my connection to video games and cartoons, I have a lot of influences from various video games as major inspirations, some of the main ones would be Shadow of the Colossus, and Hollow Knight, but I love the narrative storytelling in games and just the ability to tell stories with pictures.
