Round of applause for our sponsors

I realised that I wanted to be in the entertainment industry when I was in my senior year of highschool. I was taking a class where we break down films shot by shot and understand the meaning behind each composition. I really liked that class and I wanted to explore further, so I applied for an animation program in my local community college. There I learned about concept art and visual development from my professor and realised that entertainment arts is what I really want to pursue.

I remember watching Jurassic Park and Avatar for the first time, I was blown away by the kind of stuff I was watching and since then I have always been interested in getting to know the Visual Effects and 3D Industry. In recent years I started going to college for the same and I discovered about how much more stuff can be done with 3D and the Technologies used in Visual Effects and Movies.

After watching Gaurdians of the Galaxy, CG is all I want to do.

I realized that I wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry, after I finished the first year of a college. I got an opportunity to explore all departments at the college, and I was fascinated by the digital media department. I liked how they freely visualized imaginations with a concept.

The first time I touch creative work.

I've always been interested in working in the creative field as I grew up with my mom also being an artist.

From birth, my family has always been deeply artistic and my father worked in creative design, thus it was destined to be my field. My early years spent with Pixar movies, Marvel and DC comics, and all variety of animated media shaped me into the artist I am today.

Games have always been a major part of my life and a source of empowerment and freedom. It wasn't until college that I realized I could be a part of making games and saw where my art fit in the pipeline.

I've always wanted to work in the games industry, but just wasn't sure in what way. I took a graphic design course in high school that brought me into the world of digital art, but it wasn't until I was about to graduate that I realized my brain works most effectively in a spatial sense, rather than 2-dimensionally. From then on, I found my love for 3D and never looked back.

It all started when the original Lord of The Rings trilogy films captivated me and blew my mind when I was a kid. It was then that I realized somebody had to come up with whatever I was seeing on the big screen. I eventually started dabbling in art and design for films and games, growing fonder of the craft with each passing moment.

Born in Belgium to Japanese Parents, I learned about concept art when I was 18. I have just graduated from art school at Otis in the US. I have been working hard to get better at my craft to hopefully one day work as a concept artist. FR/ENG/JP

I realized it in 6th grade after I took a quiz that specifies the type of career you can have based on your interests.

After being exposed to the world of concept art through my peers in 2018.
