Round of applause for our sponsors

I was heavily influenced by my favorite games and films. I'm eager to contribute to creating fictional characters to life.

I was initially a film major, interested in making genre films (sci-fi, fantasy, horror) and I began to realize the thing that I really liked about it the most was all the designs and concept art that went into them, and I started pursing that aspect, specifically. I always relied on drawings to help me realize certain complex characters and narratives, and I wanted to be stronger in it as a discipline as well, be able to do it in a professional capacity.

It started when I watched Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away. I was inspired by the power of emotion the movie left in me and it drove me to follow in his steps.

Since I was a kid Iv always been sensitive to details and color, always leaning in too close into a painting at museums. It didn't click with me that I could work in the entertainment industry as a creative till after my first two years of college.

I always knew I wanted to be an artist. However, it wasn't until 2016 when i took my first 3D modeling class that I knew that I had to be a character modeler. I love the idea of bringing a concept that much closer to reality.

While I was in high school I had the opportunity to tour a studio. I really had no comprehension of the industry at that time and felt a bit lost watching all the artists work. Near the end of the visit, I saw someone give a 3d modeling demo where they modeled an airplane out of a signal cube. Something about that clicked in my brain and I knew that is what I wanted to do for a living, create awesome stuff in a computer!

Since I grew up without any opportunities for friendship, I watched Monster Inc. after Toy Movie and other animated films as a child. Why not work in an animated company like Disney, Dreamworks, Pixar, and other industries, my brother suggested to me. I'd like to work for a big company and make more friends.

Originally a film major, I am passionate about bringing stories to life, digitally.

The creativity aspect and showing craftsmanship within the gaming industry interests me as a career choice. I just simply want to be a part of the community!

I've always been interested in this field since I was young, but only started taking it seriously since not long ago.
