Round of applause for our sponsors

When I was in high school, I approached the camera. Since that time, I discovered the world of artists through internet and I wished my life to be like theirs. After graduation from the school, I chose to learn media and communication in RMIT University to set the base for my career

I began drawing ever since I learnt how to use a pencil when I was a child. I would sat in front of the TV and sketched the cartoon characters quickly as I watched Cartoon Networks, Disney and Nickelodeon TV shows as my reference. I did not know there was different types of roles in the animation & film industry until late 2018, that's when I realized I wanted to take this path seriously and began learning animation in 2019.

There is not a specific moment, it eventally happened.

This is probably super typical but as a kid I just really really loved books, films and video games. Immersing myself in other worlds and stories was incredibly captivating, interesting environments and characters really sparked my interest in drawing and creating (thank you for existing Guillermo Del Toro) . Since then I've wanted to be involved in the processing of designing and producing elements related to story telling and world building.

I have always loved film and games from a young age, my love of visual art at school turned into a Bachelor of Design (Animation and Interactive Media), where I took up 3D animation and VFX.

In 2017 I was requested to perform for a motion capture test run by a former boss of mine and a researcher at The University of Technology Sydney at UTS Data Arena. This is a 360-degree interactive data visualisation facility. I was suited up and then requested to perform in this Arena. The 360 screens played back a 3D character mirroring each and every movement I had made in real time. This influenced my life and opened my perspective to the doors of technology and performance.

I took an animation course back in America as a stubborn act of defiance against my mother, who wanted me to do medical transcription. I learned enough to know I loved it, so I moved to Australia on my own to study.

I realised when I was quite young, beginning of High School, that I wanted to do something creative and digital based. It never seemed feasible though, it's a constant narrative of needing to find a job that pays well and that creative-based industries do not have that type of stability or income. Things are much more different now, and now I've graduated from a Games Design Degree!

I realise it when I was in 9th grade. I was tired of all the maths and biology. I think I was different compared to other guys. I just want to be creative and draw and design stuff all day. So one time, I too tired and I stand up an I walk out of the math class. Then I come home, tell my mom I don't like to study math. I want to be a designer.
