During a-levels I got into animation and decided to make it my career

I first realised from a young age that I really enjoyed drawing and anything creative. This lead me to study art throughout my education, specialising in hyper realistic colour drawing. I have also always loved maths and wanted to find a career path that would combine and utilise both these skills. It was when I watched Avatar for the first time that I realised how magnificent Visual Effects could be.

When I was a young kid and realized I had a gift for visualizing what I thought, heard, and memorized through independent journey.

I want to work in creative industries since I went to the university. I met so many creative tutors and friends, which makes me yearn for working in creative industries as well.

I loved cartoons as a child and never grew out of them! Initially I wanted to be a cartoonist but after studying subjects like computer science in school and sculpting in my fine art class, I started to think about working in 3D and modelling was a great in between!

Ever since I was a child, I was interested in creating animation.

Although I grew up as the 'artsy kid', I changed to sciences when I got to high-school. However, I soon realised I want to pursue a career that would combine both my artistic and technical sides. Therefore, it became clear I wanted to pursue animation.

When I started creating Youtube Introduction videos for my you get brothers Minecraft channel. From there I fell in love with 3D and with my love for videos games the two guided me to my passion for making them.

I've always been fascinated by video games and the movie industry. Since I was 8 years old and would play crash bandicoot on the PlayStation 1 I knew I wanted to be a part of the creative industries.

I have loved art since I have been a child. It has always been a very important element of my life. Then, I have discovered computer animation through my degree at Bournemouth University and fell in love with lighting and the possibility of being able to use my creative skills to tell meaningful stories.

I first realised I wanted to work in a creative while studing Art and Design at A-Level. Working alongside other students In an environment full of different mediums and resources was a rich experience which I hoped I could keep expanding upon by getting into a creative field.

My family took me to screenings at the British Film Institute when I was a child, and I've had a strong interest in film, visual effects, and animation since I was very young.

I have known I wanted to work in a creative industry since I was a kid. I've always loved drawing and searched for ways to incorporate art more into my life, knowing that I would have to make a living out of it if I wanted to find my happiness.

After watching the movie Avatar, my interest in the creative industries was sparked. The mesmerizing visuals, particularly the robots and simulations, captivated my imagination. Witnessing the seamless integration of technology and storytelling inspired me to explore the realm of creative possibilities. From that moment, I became fascinated by the potential of bringing digital creations to life and delving into the world of visual effects and simulations.

While completing my foundation diploma in art and design, I came across the animation industry through a multitude of cel animation and stop motion workshops. Having then specialised in animation through creating animatics and creating 2D videos, I then wanted to expand into 3D by entering into a BA Computer Animation Art and Design course at Bournemouth University. I was exposed to a multitude of pipelines surrounding VFX, games, interactive medias, and animation, and became a 3D Generalist!

Since I was in elementary school I had a huge interest in both computer science and art. Coming from a country where CGI isn't a very widespread term, I didn't know that this was even a career choice until my final year of high school. But ever since I learned about it I've been actively pursuing it :)

The seed of my interest in animation was planted during my childhood. I vividly remember being captivated by the colorful and dynamic characters that came to life on the screen. Whether it was the whimsical antics of classic hand-drawn animations or the breathtaking visuals of modern CGI films, I was enthralled by the ability of animation to transport viewers to imaginative worlds and evoke powerful emotions.

I realized that I wanted to work in the creative industries since high school, but later on in university I wanted to focus on working in specifically the 3D industries.

I first gained an active interest in the creative field by taking photographs as a child, and as my understanding developed through my teenage years this led me to discover the world of VFX which I've been obsessed with ever since.

I realised that I wanted to work in the creative industry when I was searching for my career path in Highschool. I was fascinated by visual animations such as "Kubo" and "Paprika". I was also very interested in video games such as "Final Fantasy" and "Assassins creed". When I realised that 3D could be a career path to apply my art skills, I went for it and pursued it immediately.

The relationship between originality, interaction and innovation is what captivates me most about the creative industries. I recognised myself as an artist as soon as I could mark paper, yet throughout school, I was relentlessly pushed towards 'traditional' career paths instead, as art couldn't be a 'real job'. Since, I've committed myself to the creative industries entirely and haven't looked back. I am grateful for this decision every day.

I realised I wanted to work in creative industries when I was around 11 or 12, when I first understood that making 'magic lights' and 'cool monsters' in movies is an actual career. I remember thinking that it must have been "the most awesome job ever" to be able to make the worlds I could only see in books come to life.
