Round of applause for our sponsors

At a very young age actually, I always loved to create and communicate through images.

I've always been enthralled in gaming and animation since I was young. I was drawn into the universes of the games I played and the series I watched created and wanted to do the same later on, building on my own characters and worlds.

After seeing the concept art included in The Last of Us, I thought it must be really interesting to work in the video game world and especially in concept creation. But it was after playing at games like Life is Strange that I really wanted to work in the industry and on this kind of game.

When I first discovered my love for designing characters and environnements, i realised that I really wanted to make this a dream come reality and I will work hard to make it happen. I discovered early on Even Amundsen's work and since then i've been truly in creating worlds and worldbuilding and designing.

I discovered my interest for the creative industry as a youngster starting by drawing, watching epic animations and playing video games with characters that inspired me.

I've always been interested by art since i was young, looking at painting in museums and artists i like on social platforms. I've pushed myself to take drawing classes during high school and then decided to focus on my love for games to tie it all together!

Since my early years, I have been captivated by the world of gaming and animation, I have always been driven by a deep passion for gaming and animation, and it has been a constant source of inspiration throughout my life.

I realise that I wanted to work in creative industries when I was eleven and playing at The legend of Zelda twilight princess. It was the first time I learn how video games where created. And I really wanted to be part of the creation of games and universe.

I've always loved to draw. But I think what made me realise that I could work and do what I love the most was when I saw that a lot of illustrators, concept artists and even animators were posting a lot of their works online. Seeing all the process behind my favorite game, my favorite show or movie really inspired me and comforted me that, yes, I could work in the industry and no, being an artist doesn't mean that you're going to starve and not be recognised by your peers.

I used to draw a lot when i was younger and slowly started being interested in illustration and as i grew up, many different fields while discovering video games and animation. My interests shifted as i was discovering the concept arts behind my favourite games and movies. It became my goal to work in this creative field and participate in the creation of different worlds and characters.

After years of being "the creative girl" at school, I decided to dive deeper into the creative world. As a long-time lover of video games and the wonderful universes they bring to life, the idea of being a part of this tickled my brain. Loving drawing, I then fell in love with sculpting (thanks to an amazing teacher), and decided to go down the path of 3D Character Art. I wish to be part of the process that allows players to identify with these characters and worlds, and fall in love with them!

I love creating stories and designs and I always wanted to share this passion with others. When I learned that I could do it in the creative industries, I immediately realized that I would make it my job.

Since I was a teenager, I've wanted to work in the video games industry. At the beginning, it was just a dream but at the end of high school I decided that I wanted to make it my job. I was enrolled in a school that taught me the 3D basics for three years. After that, I thought my level was not good enough for the industry and I realized that I really wanted to specialize in the Environment Art. So now I’m at Artside School in Environment Art !

I was interested in the world of video games from an early age. Since then, I only live to develop my skills in art in order to give life to the universes I have in mind. I think the work that really made me dive is zelda ocarina of time

I've been holding a pencil since I was a kid, there was nothing I'd rather do than draw and how cool is it to be able to live off my art ? That's what I thought back then and what I still think of now.

I've always been passionate by the 3D modeling, I've started using 3D modeling software when i was in machining, and I always wanted to work for video game studio.

When I was 18-19, right at the end of highschool. I knew I wanted to work in the industry but I wasn't quite sure about the specific field, I almost ended up in Programming but quickly realised I would prefer a more artistic approach. It took me a while before figuring out 3D Environment Art was the path I wanted to follow, but I started to learn Blender on my free time while I studied for my Applied Linguistic Bachelor in University. Now I'm at Artside Game Art School.

I've always been drawing. I always knew that i wanted to make a living from drawing. I've discovered concept art 2 years ago, i was looking deeper into Alan Lee and John Howe work for the Lord of the Ring. Born in Belgium, i was looking for a concept art school in Belgium but didn't find any. So i found Artside in Bordeaux and i'm now studying concept art.

When a friend gave me my first Artbook, I discovered all the "backstages" of a game and wanted to be a part of it !

In highschool, around my eighteenth birthday, someone told me that you could learn to draw. I've been chasing the dream of working professionally ever since.

I have been playing video games since I was a kid and this passion has never left me. I also love movies and discovering new creative worlds still amazes me. So I always thought that the entertainment industry would be the one I wanted to be in.
