Round of applause for our sponsors

When I saw Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings in sendary school, there was a idea came up. It said that I want to learn how to make this visual magic.

I was in High School, and at the time I thought that I wanted to go into Architecture because I enjoyed creating 3d mock-up houses in CAD software. I then started looking at alternative software to create these mockups as CAD can be restrictive, I started learning Maya and Blender where I could be a lot more creative, from this I have become very interested in procedural modelling, texturing, and simulations. I am interested in a career where I can continue to explore these outcomes.

Early 2020 but I fist started to be interested in the world of vfx in 2017 when I found the YouTube channel corridor digital.

Since around about my first year of high school. This would be when I really started to pick up painting.

When I realised I have a lot of fantastic ideas in my mind and I want to share them to the world. And when I realised since my age increases, I could only feel entertained and touched by very good movies and animations, so as to every adult in the world. Not only kids like fantasy, but adult people also. So, I have a desire to work in games or movies related areas, to create something that can touch people's heart and entertain players or audiences.

Since I was a teenager, I knew I wanted to create visual contents in the creative and media industry. Before actually studying about 3D Animation and Visual Effects, I enjoyed editing videos a lot. After gaining some knowledge about the visual effects, I have found my passion and chose computer graphics as a major.

I started pursuing my dream to work in the creative media and entertainment industry back in my last year of high school. Back then, my main goal was to learn and master 2D and 3D animation. However, studying in university in this field has opened up my interests in other medias such as VFX, digital art, comics, game design, film making, photography, motion design, and even audio-visual narratives.

In Highschool, my friend introduced me to art for video games and films, and i have been hooked ever since.

Cliche, but it was because of the Lord of the Rings.

My interests first started when I was a child and watched the special features for finding nemo. Watching how they created the underwater environments was fascinating to me and that was what stuck with me until I started to understand what 3D was and how it worked.

When I was in my teens I found an interest within the 3D world, but always enjoyed the creative side of life.

I first started making little skits with a friend in primary school and I loved the feeling of being able to create an emotional reaction from something that I had created. From there I studied film before moving on to post production work.

Since a young age, not specifically animation, but definitely something creative in the entertainment industry. It wasn't until the end of high school where I knew about the animation and film industry beyond a surface level and I could see myself wanting to be part of that. to create something for that.

I've had a love for designing characters and worlds ever since I was little. I've always loved painting and have always pushed it forward into the digital scape as I learned more about the opportunities within the creative media industry. Going through my early years of high-school I've always been set in stone that I wanted to do character or landscape art within the industry in some way. This passion has continued with me into university where I push my skills further to reach this goal.

I realised halfway through the first trimester of university. We had three compulsory courses that had us dabbling in different areas of design, and a single optional course - 3D animation and visual effects. I didn't enjoy the compulsory classes much, but I absolutely ADOReD ANFX and changed my degree ASAP. I had always admired the time and effort that went into 3D work in the entertainment industry, but I always assumed it'd be too technical for me to be any good at all.

; at a young age ever since I got into video games. Every time I played a new game I admired the art style, map designs, and visual effects. I really wanted to learn the process and development of the games I played. I decided to major in media design at university and fell in love with it - that's when I knew this industry would be for me. I have never enjoyed something more and from here I hope to improve on my skills and gain new knowledge.

I first realised I wanted to work in the creative media industry last year when I discovered the potential of what creative tools can do! I was into painting because I liked creating worlds and environments that feel like you could be in them. When I found out that I could produce exactly the same thing but be able to look around inside this world and I didn't need a team to do it, I was instantly hooked.

I realised I wanted to be a VFX artist when I first-time concentrated on a project for 36 hours, not wanting to stop at all. I realised that I love creative media so much that I don't need anybody or anything to motivate me. I just enjoy creating 3D works so much!

When I was High school student

For my 13th birthday my cousin challenged me to my first ever real computer game ‘Age of Empires’, another milestone in my life. With my gaming skills reaching to a professional level my interest in creating games and curiosity in real time strategies in the virtual world started to creep in progressively. I was awed by the movei Avatar. Avatar augmented my interest further in the creative industry, with its one of a kind visual effects, sounds, techniques never used before by Animators.
