Uncover Hidden Talent: Hire the World’s Top New Digital Artists
I always loved playing games and was fascinated by the technology and visuals behind them. At first, I tried to make my own games using javascript but then I discovered Unity, I experimented a bit and I wanted to learn to make my own models, this is where I discovered blender! I loved it a lot and had so much fun making models (even if they weren't great) that I chose to go to a University that would help me continue on this path, this was one of the best choices I could have ever made!
I’ve been interested in Computer Science since my first IT lessons in secondary school. On the other hand, I’ve always enjoyed drawing, movie editing, and using my imagination to create something visual. I would look for industry that would allow me to match these two areas. Ever since I found the Computer Animation and Visual Effects course in the UK I’ve been sure it is something I want to bond my future with.
I realised I wanted to work in the creative industries quite early on. As from a young age I’ve had an interest in art and was inspired by the films I watched containing vfx. I then in sixth form tried to structure my learning to best benefit studies in uni and to hopefully give me the best chance to succeed and deck my skill set for the future
I realised when playing games I would always be analysing animations and graphics when playing and found a well animated game to be more fun than anything else. It dawned on me that I wanted to work in the creative entertainment industry so that I could learn to animate and create projects that would make people go "Wow" just as I did when playing games or watching movies. I always loved realistic movement with weight and power behind actions and have now started enjoying exaggeration too.
After 5 years working in the engineering sector, boring myself with the mundanity of unfulfilling paperwork five days a week and considering my love of the arts as an enjoyable pass-time, I realised it was time to actually take pride in a career. As soon as I discovered the craft of animation and the world of digital artistry I was inspired to start creating and commence a career which rewards imagination, storytelling and expression.
I realised that I wanted to work in the creative media industry when I first laid eyes on the original World of Warcraft cinematic by Blizzard Entertainment back in 2004. Back then I was only 5, so I didn't quite understand what creating art like this entailed but I knew that this is what I wanted to do an artist and my career
When I was 16, I am 21 now. I started studying in a college for 2 years an animation and game design degree and I have been studying for 2 years at university. I still have a long way to go to become a pro but I have the ignated flame of passion to become a great character artist like Rafael Garssetti.
I realised I wanted to work in an art based job when I was aged 17. I have always drawn from a very young age, and studied art at GCSE and A-Levels painting and drawing, whatever traditional mediums I could use; however I wasn't always set on the idea of a creative job until University came along. It was only then, that I stumbled upon Animation and since pursuing this, it is an industry full of challenge and creativity that I really would love to work in!
I've always loved games and wanted to work withint that industry, but I never knew in exactly which area. Until I got to my final year of college where we had a 3D modeling unit. This unit consisted of modeling the inside of a bar or restruant. Here Is where I fell in love with 3D modeling. Combine that with my heavy interst in environments, terrian, physical model building and painting, to get to where I am today.
