Uncover Hidden Talent: Hire the World’s Top New Digital Artists
I've always worked on creative projetcts since I was a kind. I designes board games, directed my own short films and even composed a bunch of film scores throughout my life. But I was also performing really well in school and I had to choose between studying science or following my dreams of being an artist. I made the jump and discovered the VFX industry. Thats when I realised what I was was meant for me. My passion for working on creative projects motivates me everyday to give the best of me.
After starting architecture studies, I realized my passion lay in the creative industries. Redirecting from research, I embraced the pure creativity I craved. Remembering my passion for 3D during architecture, I found my calling in visual effects (VFX). It felt like home, with boundless creativity and the power to breathe life into fantastical worlds.
Growing up on a boat, my VHS collection and my "Game Boy" were my most precious treasures, and I cherished every movie night. It took me a while to realize that 3D animation was not "just a dream" and that I could achieve it. I worked as a jeweler in the high-end jewelry industry for 13 years, and I use the same skills today in my 3D animation reconversion. Observation, attention to detail, technique, and accuracy.
I always loved cinema. That's why I first studied it for 5 years, in the hopes of, one day, participating in the creation of films I used to love as a kid (and still love). During my studies, I came accross someone who worked in the VFX industry and I was amazed by all the projects they've been working on. That's when I decided that was the right path for me to be closer to my dreams.
I first realised that i wanted to work in the creative industries when i was around 15 years old when i was watching movies on repeat and playing video games all day and more specifically an FX artist when i had my first simulation class, its the perfect blend of my logical side which I developed during my time in cegep, and my artistic side, which flourished while pursuing my bachelor's degree.
Ever since I was young I had a passion for drawing and creating my own characters and stories. I was a young artist at heart and constantly made fanarts and fancomics on my favorite characters or universes. In high school, I had the amazing opportunity of working on a IPad game with an Ubisoft team of students as an introduction to 3D , and I really enjoyed it. Ever since, I knew that this was the path for me!
10 years ago I saw my big brother model something in 3dsMax in his free time and this is when it clicked for me: "There's actual hard working people behind those beloved games I enjoy so much". The seed was planted and it ended up shaping my studies and career choices. Well, I just graduated from university at NAD School in Montreal and I'm excited for what the future holds.
